Congratulations are in order for Li Na as she defeated Francesca Schiavone to win the 2011 French Open Women's Championship. Li Na's blistering forehand was simply too much for Schiavone to handle and she was forced to play defense much of the time. Li Na is the first tennis player from China to ever win a Grand Slam. Michael Chang won the French Open when he was 17, but he was an American Citizen with Chinese ethnicity.
